Deadlines and Piano Lessons
I haven't been online lately due to a major deadline I had to meet. I've been writing day and night to make my deadline and I just managed to make it by the skin of my teeth! Serves me right to leaving things until the last minute. It is unusual for me to procrastinate but I've had so many other things to do that I've hardly had the time to sip my morning coffee lately. Breakfast lately has been a couple of crackers that I manage to grab as I'm racing out the door or racing to the word processor. No wonder I feel so tired. I really need to start clearing out the unneeded chores in my life. I'll start with housework! Who needs a clean house? If I stop doing housework I'll have much more time to do the other obligations in my life! Wait! Why stop at housework?! I'll drop cooking AND cleaning from my day to day duties! Yes! That's it! I'll have much more time now!
Well, I guess I'll have to wait until after this weekend considering I have to make three large family dinners. A roast one night, a turkey the next and of course the usual ham for Easter as well as enough baking to feed the entire Canadian Military. I think my family would disown me if I don't feed them. I'd hate to have that happen since I'm banking on the fact that one day they will look after me instead of putting me in a home somewhere. Actually, if the truth be known, I'm hoping the kids hit it big on the lottery and one day when I'm too old to be of use they can put me up in a hotel somewhere nice. Three meals a day, housekeeping to do the work, room service, no dishes, just me, the TV., computer, piano and a beautiful view of some tropical beach where I can look at all those lovely male species tanning on the beach.
I've taken two piano lessons now. My instructor is very good! He's recommended all over the Atlantic Provinces so I was lucky to get him. He says I'm doing fantastic but we all know I'm paying him....what else can he say? LOL I do really enjoy the lessons and now that the deadline is met I'll have more time during the day to practise.
I'm taking the evening off tonight. I don't know what I'll do with the time but I'm sure I'll fill every available second of it so that I really don't relax and enjoy it at all. LOL Oh well, like I told the kids, if I wasn't trying to squeeze every available second out of a day it would mean I was sick and then we'd have something to worry about. LOL
I wish you all enough.

The piano pic is in the next post. Sorry it took so long to get it posted! As for retiring in a good hotel...sounds great! LOL
Glad to hear about the piano lessons. I love piano but I'm not good at it. Julia's instructor said she had a natural talent but she lost interest. :(
Happy Easter to you and yours.

I'm not so sure I have a natural talent but I do love it and work hard at it. At Julia's age I would have lost interest too. There's so much more going on in the world for a Force of Nature like her that would make sitting at a piano for hours pretty boring! LOL
Happy Easter to you and yours. :)
