I Went Deer Hunting!

Yep! I decided the other day to go deer hunting. I haven't done that since last year around this time so I figured I'm due. I shot approximately 30 deer and I could have shot more but the daylight ran out. Wanna see the pictures?

Ok, before you get too upset, I only shoot with a camera! LOL

There is a place not far from my home where the deer linger in the spring. I've never seen so many deer in one place in my life! The deer are fairly used to humans driving up in a car and but most will not let a human get close to take pictures. When I got close to them they would stand perfectly still. When they freeze like that they think you can't see them. They will stay perfectly still until they feel you are getting too close and then they bound away, usually stopping a few feet away to see if you are following. Some get very curious about me and if I stand very still they will come close and sniff to see if I'm carrying any oats for them.

I took way too many pictures to post them all but here's a few...

This was the smallest one I seen that day.

Ooops! I've been spotted!

Such a pretty face!

I could almost reach out and touch this one!

Last year I spent days trying to get a good picture of the Half Albino deer but wasn't able to. I didn't see her this year. I hope nothing happened to her. I do know the survival rate of an Albino deer in the wild is not good but I really hope she made it. Maybe next year I'll be able to get a picture of her or her offspring. :)

I wish you all enough!

Those are great pictures.
I used to go hunting and never liked it.
I would just sit out there looking at the wilderness instead of shooting things.
Now fishing is another story.
